How To: Create Opportunities (Web)

Opportunities are the active deals you are working on with companies/contacts in Spiro. You can record and easily update opportunity information such as the amount, expected close date, sales stage and more.

Creating an opportunity with an existing company or contact:

The first step to creating a new opportunity with an existing company or contact is to navigate to the Search bar in the top right hand corner and search for the company or contact who the opportunity is associated with.

TIP: Always search for a company or contact before creating a new one to prevent duplicates.  

Once you find the company or contact, scroll to the bottom of the page and choose "New Opportunity" under the Opportunities section. 

After selecting "New Opportunity"you can fill in any necessary information for this Opportunity and choose "Save".

Creating an opportunity for a new company or contact:

If you are creating an Opportunity with a brand new Company and Contact, navigate to the Opportunities tab and click "New Opportunity" in top right hand corner. You will have 2 options for creating a new opportunity: 

1. Creating an Opportunity on the Company level

2. Creating an Opportunity on the Contact level

TIP: This type is recommended because it will create the Company, Contact and Opportunity at the same time

Enter in the company/contact and opportunity information and hit "Save".

Congratulations on creating an opportunity in Spiro! To view the opportunity you can use the search bar to search for the name of the opportunity or the contact or company the opportunity is associated with. You can view a list of opportunities from the Opportunities tab in Spiro.
